The aims of the POSK Welfare Committee is to provide advice and care for elderly and sick Poles, lately this has included many of these newly arrived in the United Kingdom.
For the past five years the Committee has been run by Mrs Janina Kwiatkowska with the help of Mrs Alicja Ejsmond and Mr Jerzy Jarosz.
The Welfare Committee works in conjunction with the Polish Consulate in London, Federation of Poles in G.B, the Polish Women Benevolent Fund and the Relief Society for Poles Trust. Members of the Welfare Committee visit Polish patients mostly in West London hospitals and also elderly Poles in their homes. When visiting hospitals members of the Welfare Committee translate for doctors and nurses thus helping both patients and those who treat them. From patients lists provided by the hospitals the Committee registers all Polish patients onto the Central Committee Register. The register is then handed over to St Andrew Bobola Parish Church. Parish priests then visit the patients providing pastoral care to all in need.
The Welfare Committee meets at the POSK Office every Thursday between 10 am - 1 pm (tel: 020 8742 6411).

Each year the Welfare Committee organises a Christmas Party for senior members of the Polish Social and Cultural Association Ltd.
